MCH
Why did the New York Mets choose orange and blue for their team colors??? Figured some may know...some may not...and some may not care. But oh well.:D
Tominator
Is there a real answer to this? Seems to me there is a reason, but I forget.
MCH
Yep. There's a real answer. I read it in a book a while ago, but its back in the news again(sort of).

MCH
Was hoping we'd get some answers first.
rhine16
Think it's got something to do with the colors of the teams that formerly played there. So I guess that means the Orange came from the New York Giants. And Blue came from Brooklyn Dodgers(should've known it had something to do with the Dodgers for you to post it ) I read that awhile back to. What was it in?? I can't remember
rhine16
At least I think that's right...Kevin?

muggs
Dodger Blue.:D With the way they've been playing, it should be called "Dodger Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.";)
MCH
With the way they've been playing, it should be called "Dodger Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.";) You're absolutely right. With the way they're playing, I should find me another team to root for. I think I'll root for the Cleveland Indians.......oops, just off the wire: Indians suck, too!!

You're right. You were the only one with the foresight and knowledge that called them winning the division. Ooops. Wrong again. I believe just about everyone.....including me, called the D-backs as the West champions.
MCH
BTW--looks like your AL Central predictions are spot on as well.:D

Haren is going to struggle a lot like Zito did after he left Oakland" I thought you were saying the Dbacks weren't going to win it. My mistake. Check the "division predictions" thread if you don't believe me. You might want to check your prediction while your at it. Pretty sure the fact that you called your Indians out of the Central is pretty similar to me calling the Dodgers in the West. Kind of like the pot calling the kettle black?? Kind of like the pot calling the kettle black?? I'm referring to our PM conversation, you know, the one I told you I was printing out and saving so I could repeat it back to you verbatim in October. I really don't expect the Tiger and Indians to be the two last place teams in that division all year either bud. The Dodgers, they're playing for second at best and you know it. The Dodgers, they're playing for second at best and you know it. I'm kind of doubting second right now. But that's beside the point. Saying they've got a chance to win it and saying they will is all together different. Heck, the Indians have a chance at winning the World Series but I'm not stupid enough to say they will. BTW--you need to print off the PM where I said Braun would hit 30 HR's this year. Maybe its on the same one??

buckbuster11
Fielder is in the same boat. Look it up, I've already said in other posts him and Braun will both be disappointments this year.

Well, I'll go on record as saying while I do think Braun's "4 months" was an aberation I also think he has one of the best swings in the majors. Speed and contact are among the best.
