tedicast
Re: Cresting??? I am using EZ Crest Elite II red/orange wraps. They definately make the arrow stand out better in flight, and on the ground.

ScottyLuck
Re: Cresting??? I used them this year but probably won't make them again once I use these up. They really dress up the arrow nicely but if you screw up a fletch you have to junk the whole wrap. Below are my hunting arrows fletched with the EZE Crest elites. carbonhunter
Re: Cresting??? ya those are REALLY sharp......the only thing that has stopped me so far is I've always wondered what the deers reaction to them....bright colors in the woods?? any idea how much weight they add to the arrow?? tedicast
Re: Cresting??? I believe they add 10 grains per wrap for the EZ Crest wraps
VermontHunter
Re: Cresting??? I actually think the tail weight would help me out, with the fish tailing I'm experiencing over 35yrds. As for the bright colors, my QuickSpin vanes a super bright and I just hide them in the foilage.

VermontHunter
Re: Cresting??? I'm scared to even ask what the bill would be..LOL...guess I better learn how to do my own so I can't gripe about the price UH ???..LOL
tedicast
Re: Cresting??? The expensive part is the wrap themselves. The Elite II's that I used were $16 for a dozen. I just had to have them though...lol They are simple to install. Scott lays them out on a mouse pad. Puts an arrow on one edge, and rolls it on. Like he said above. The suck part is that if you tear a vane, you junk a wrap taking them off. I won't do anymore of my practice arrows, just my hunting arrows. VermontHunter
Re: Cresting??? I can see where this would be expensive for sure...I may try a dozen to see what happens,,heaven knows I've blown way more on worse and useless stuff more than once... billygoat
Re: Cresting??? Want em'! Scotty, those look sweet! I am certainly going to have to invest an additional $16.00 on my next dozen, just really adds to the arrow.
MUDRUNNER
Re: Cresting??? I HAD HALF A DOZEN CRESTED JUST ON MY HUNTING ARROWS.MY SHOP USED THE EZ CRESTS ,TOO.I ALSO HAVE 2 ORANGE FLETCHINGS AND ONE WHITE.IT IS UNBELIEVEABLE HOW GOOD YOU CAN SEE THEM FLYING THROUGH THE AIR.I LOVE THEM ON MY HUNTING ARROWS.YOU CAN SEE WHERE THE ARROW IMPACTS THE ANIMAL A LOT BETTER. Tominator
Re: Cresting??? I have a buddy that made up some arrows for me, and he's big into them. Personally I could take them or leave them, they're not that big of a deal to me.
