Jeramie
I have a 9N and the carb went south. Anyone have one laying around in at least rebuildable shape they would want to part with? Working order preferred but not 100% necessary. Let me know.....
Tominator
I've got an old Marvel-Schebler laying around off my Oliver, but I don't think that would work. Try this source, I've purchased stuff from them in the past. http://www.ytmag.com/store/parts/index.htm?mm
Jeramie
It is a Marvel-Schebler but may be different?! Ill check out the link. I can pick up a new one for about $115 but hate to spend that much.
Tominator
Looks like this, intake is there on the left. I'd guess a 1.5" diameter? Venturi is on top there.

Tominator
That looks dang close! I need to carry in mine and compare. Fords are straight 4's right? My Oliver is a straight 6. This carb is probably too big. I don't think I'd get rid of it anyway, it's the original and needs a lot of work. I replaced it with an agco I believe. I would think you could find an old Ford carb somewhere, they made tons of 8n's and 9n's.

Im taking mine and having it sand blasted today. If it cleans up nicely ill buy a large kit and rebuild it. If not looks like I get to spend a hundred or so bucks..... Those old carbs are pretty solid-- cast iron if I'm not mistaken, with lots of brass. The actual bowl shouldn't be a problem to clean up, and a rebuild kit will probably be all you need. Jeramie
I think its going to work. Im leaving the office at 3:30 and headed that way. Ive already gutted the carb. Once is blasted ill know where I stand. If everything works I will pickup a kit and have it back together by Friday.
Jeramie
I blasted the carb. Its all pretty now. I had my local dealer order in the large rebuild kit. Hopefully it will be in before the weekend.... I bet this fixes everything. The carb looks like a new one.
