Simply apply the pipe stretcher, heat up the PVC pipe with a hand torch and firmly pull. Perfect for gaining that extra inch or so needed. It's that easy. Go to Lowes or Home Depot's plumbing section, explain your situation to them and ask to see one. They'll set you right up. You're welcome. bowin_in_illinois Posted April 22, 2008 Report Share Posted April 22, 2008 I am with the "don't use two wax ring" crowd. They make oversized rings for just such instances. (as you can see in the link in johnf's post.) An added tip that has saved me some hassle in the past is to put a couple large drinking straws on the closet bolts to help guide the bowl down onto the right spot. Have fun!
