IASTClone
Well, I am still shopping around and found a used Rem 700XCR over the weekend. The 700 XCR is the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation model in a 300WSM, which if I am not mistaken was in 2006. It is fitted with a Burris Short Mag nickel scope. They are wanting $950 for it. Was not considering a Remington, but this seems too good to pass on. Any input on the XCR?
TKLambert
I am actually looking at the XCR's too. That seems like a really good deal. The gun itself retails for more than that. The scope would just be icing on the cake for getting it all at that price.
wtnhunt
Sounds like a good buy, but guess it would depend on the shape of the gun. Here is a link to an xcr rmef in 7 mm ultramag brand new http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=104918.
Jeramie
Here is an XCR in .300 ULT Mag, with an extra stock. Looks like you could pick it up for well under $900. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=97511388
bluelund79
Looking at those as well. That is a real good deal if it is in next to new shape....I would really look it over and if its in good condition, jump on it! Its ready to go with good optics to boot!!!! bowana
I have one in 375 Ultra Mag. I bought it for that future Alaskan Bear trip. They are decent rifles. I think they are a little over priced, but what isn't. I did change the trigger and plan to install a muzzle brake. The rifle has great balance and its a joy to carry, but the the 375 Ultra mag needs a little taming.
