wildthing
Fellas...I am looking into a 2004 Yamaha Grizzly with low miles that I found for sale. Anyone out there own one of these? Any problems, feedback comments?
wtnhunt
We looked at several when we bought our last 4 wheeler in 2004. Lots of good options out there, but personally a honda person here. We looked at the yamaha's when we bought our foreman, think the only thing I recall about the yamaha's that I did not like was that the ones we looked at were belt driven if I remember right. wildthing
Thanks...I guess I'll see what this quad looks/runs like before I buy...can't hurt. The new one's out are so expensive (8k+)...I just can't justify spending that kind of money when I know there are slightly older models for sale that people bought and rarely ride. wtnhunt
Just to help you out with getting an idea on pricing, you might go here http://www.abernathycycles.com/new_vehicle_list.asp?sid=04110376X4K23K2008J10I18I08JAMQ1205R0&Manufacturer=2&Category=2&CatDesc=ATVs. We bought our honda from abernathys brand new for not much more than what I had seen some similar used bikes going for in the paper here. fly
Taking a Grizzly to Idaho mountains for a major test next month. If you can wait till June I'll let ya know how it performed.
Guest Finn
I'd pm Coles....think he's got a Grizzly. I have a 2005 Kodiak 400 4x4 and it's been great. Will probably buy a Honda next for a smoother ride, but can't complain as this one has been no problems!
coles
looks like i read this just in time...LOL. yes i do have a 2007 grizzly 660. i couldnt be happier with it. all the power i need for plowing snow and haulin junk around. alot of people might argue with you about how the grizzly will ride compared to a polaris but in my opinion they ride pretty much the same. you wont regret buying a grizzly and there is an infinite number of after market parts and pieces you can get for them. i bought an HMF utility exhaust for mine and it sounded incredible. gave it tons of extra horsepower too. with the stock exhaust it woudlnt do a wheelie but with the HMF that was not a problem. i did take if off for hunting season though cuz it was just too loud. as of now i have a set of 27" ITP Mudlites on 14" ITP wheels. this tire/wheel combo inhances the ground clearance a ton and the looks are incredible. here is a pic of my ride and if you have any other questions just pm me. 4wheelin is my life when its not hunting season. not to sound cocky but i think im pretty knowledgable when it comes to 4wheelers. so let me know! heres mine. before the tires/wheels with the tires/wheels

Guest yoders_hideaway
Looks too nice to use for hunting. We have a 2007 grizzly with camo and love it. Definitely a nice ride and yes it will push snow and pull about whatever we have asked it to pull. Of course we have been Yamaha from day one, so my opinion shouldn't count.
