Re: Favorite Gun in your closet?

My Mach V .300 Weatherby. My Dad bought it for me for Christmas in 1993. He's not much into guns but had heard me mention Weatherby and secretly went to my hunting buddy who was a gun dealer at the time and put his trust in him to set me up with my "dream gun" . He also told him to put a real nice scope on it. He topped it off with a Leopold Vari X III 3.5-10 50mm. It was my Christmas present that year. I shot two 8 pt. bucks with it in Anticosti the following year, and when I got back, shot an 8 pt here in Maine. He's bought me 3 other guns also that are very special but that tops the list because of all he did to make it happen. I'm a lefty and it was a hard gun to get at the time.

Did I mention I have the best parents in the world!! smile.gif

My favorite gun would have to be my 22lr Beretta Neos pistol. It is really accruate, fun and cheap to shoot.

Favorite rifle would have to be my NEF 243. It's just really comfortable in my hands and I'm more accurate with it than any of my other guns.

Sentimental favorites - a 94 Winchester in 30-30 that was a gift to my Dad from his hometown when he came home from WWII and a Volunteer Arms single shot 410, circa 1910's, that was my mother's uncle's shotgun when he was a kid.

Shooter favorites - Winchester 101 O/U in 20 gauge and a Ruger 77R (old style) in 220 Swift.
