jerdanmagic
My first deer rifle was my dad's hand-me-down Remington .243 and I still love it. Tried and true deer killin son of a gun!!!
archerjg
Re: Favorite Gun in your closet? It would be between my 870 that my parents gave me for Christmas or my H&R Ultra Slugmaster that I bought this past year. Archerjg

James7xChamp3
Re: Favorite Gun in your closet? My Mach V .300 Weatherby. My Dad bought it for me for Christmas in 1993. He's not much into guns but had heard me mention Weatherby and secretly went to my hunting buddy who was a gun dealer at the time and put his trust in him to set me up with my "dream gun" . He also told him to put a real nice scope on it. He topped it off with a Leopold Vari X III 3.5-10 50mm. It was my Christmas present that year. I shot two 8 pt. bucks with it in Anticosti the following year, and when I got back, shot an 8 pt here in Maine. He's bought me 3 other guns also that are very special but that tops the list because of all he did to make it happen. I'm a lefty and it was a hard gun to get at the time. Did I mention I have the best parents in the world!!
tedicast
Re: Favorite Gun in your closet? My 2 favorite guns in my cabinet have always been my 20 gauge Remington Special Field, and my Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in .243. I think my Encore is becomeing my new favorite though. Guest ronin
Re: Favorite Gun in your closet? It's a toss up. My Sharps LR Silhouette in 45/70 is a dream but my German g43 is pretty cool, too. I don't shoot the latter, though.

David_218
Re: Favorite Gun in your closet? I own several "Favorite" Guns, but the most outstanding one, I own is my Ruger M-77 MKII bolt action in 7.62 X 39 m/m caliber. Very accurate and fun to shoot! johnf
Re: Favorite Gun in your closet? My favorite gun would have to be my 22lr Beretta Neos pistol. It is really accruate, fun and cheap to shoot. Favorite rifle would have to be my NEF 243. It's just really comfortable in my hands and I'm more accurate with it than any of my other guns. too_pointer
Re: Favorite Gun in your closet? Probably my Rem. 11-87 12 ga. I have 2 barrels for it, a 26" vent rib, and a rifled slug barrel with a cantiliver scope mount. It is right now, my do- everything gun. I plan on getting other barrels for my Encore, so this might change after I do too_pointer

Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Favorite Gun in your closet? Sentimental favorites - a 94 Winchester in 30-30 that was a gift to my Dad from his hometown when he came home from WWII and a Volunteer Arms single shot 410, circa 1910's, that was my mother's uncle's shotgun when he was a kid. Shooter favorites - Winchester 101 O/U in 20 gauge and a Ruger 77R (old style) in 220 Swift.
