fellas...last night I went for a walk scouting for turkey and watching some deer. I was walking across a trail I have cut and happened to look over about 20 yards into some brush / grass area. I saw something that was white laying there. I looked through my binoculars and saw horn! I walked over and boy o boy was I surprised...I not only had found my 1st ever shed antlers...but they are Pope and Young quality! Big 8 with 9 1/2 - 10 inch G2's...with mass!

I couldn't believe what I had found and was now in possession of! I am working to get a digital camera so I can put some pics on here.

Folks...I live 30 mins outside Pittsburgh, PA in Beaver County in the country. My neighbors farm, but I also have been doing my part in game management and nutrition to hold and grow deer on my property. I like to think that I am helping and it is working. Now, after seeing these horns...I can hopefully see this deer again this summer and fall...he should be awesome!

Yup I use photobucket and it works very well!!

You can also upload the pics straight from your computer onto realtree.......

At the top of the box you post in you will see a yellowish box withe pic of a mountain and a sun....click on that to insert a pic.

Good luck....and can't wait to see the pics;):D

well...I managed to get some pics up! Don't mind my ugly mug. Being from PA...for years there were no antler restrictions and a lot of really young deer killed. A lot of "Brown is down" mentality. Now, PA has antler restrictions and deer are at least being given some chance to grow up. I found these sheds across from my mom's house, on the front side of our farm...in a bedding area. First set I have ever found! I am happy and honestly, really happy to see that a deer of this magnitude is roaming in my area somewhere.

They are from a great deer, and from pa,,,i know there are some big boys around,,,something to look forward to in archery season..:)

My next step is to get a trail camera to put up and try and get some pics. I got food plots in and my neighbors farm, but there is plenty of area for him to still roam. Hopefully I can get him on film this summer and plan a strategy for the fall.:)

That's one Sweet set!!Hope you can find that buck again this Fall. Those sheds would look even better laying next to a shoulder mount of that buck.

Congrats on a great find!! :)

I couldn't agree more!:) I must admit, I have been not most evening since I found these sheds trying to find more. But I do realize, a lot of luck was involved.:D
