Been a bad week....

First I have to sport this crappy avatar around for a whole month and now I have to admit that everyone was right.

Liriano is officially off my roster. Carried his sorry butt on the DL all last year, which didn't help me at all. And now, he's given me 3 weeks of crappy WHIP and ERA.

So you doubters were correct.

You're welcome.:o

Really John, I need to start pulling up old threads where I was right on the money about all the things I am like you DB's like to do about Oden- which btw- is still open for me becoming right a few years down the road as well.;)

Like the Browns only needing a QB and RB to be a good team. That Torri Hunter was by far the best free agent CF last year (see Andruw Jones' numbers and where Tori has him hitting in that lineup). That the DBacks were the best team in the NL west. That the Tigers would struggle with their pitching...that Calvin Johnson wasn't the right pick for the Lions...I could go on.

And like I said, two years from now all you knee jerkers will see I was right about Oden, and by then, you'll see I was right about Romo too.;) Just be patient, it's a virtue.

Kev, personally, I liked the attempt. It was worth a shot and if he pitched like he did two years ago we'd all calling a genius right now.

Hey DB's, I'm just saying...if you're gonna bring up one year old posts to throw something I was wrong about in my face...you better be giving the credit when it's due too. That's all.:D

Anyway, the last thread 'ole Toddy tried bringing back to life to rip on my was about Oden over Durant. Still not sure how that one works in his mind. As far as I'm concerned...averaging 15 ppg on a team that's so bad they're moving to Oklahoma isn't all that great when you consider having a healthy Oden in that Portland lineup is going to make for one great team. The jury is still out on the whole Durant/Oden thing if you ask me.

Let's give that one three years.

Muggsy,

In your honest opinion, do you think Oden(being as big as he is) can come back from micro-fracture surgery? Honest question not trying to be a DB.

The only really successful one was Stoudimire wasn't it. I know he is tall but not as hefty as Oden.

Yeah, I really do. I get what you're saying about his size, but I think he's young enough to rebound (pun not intended).

From what I hear, it wasn't all that serious, and he could have played with it but since he's young the Blazers just wanted him to have the procedure to get it as close to 100% as they can and still have him as a 20 year old rook.

Now, if that is all true, who knows, but I expect him to be a great player at the NBA level if this injury wasn't as serious as they say.

This all said (and for your benefit Toddy) I'm not saying he's going to average 30 ppg and pull down 15 boards per. But I can see him averaging a double-double and being a major force and shot blocker in the paint- which is a key to winning championships. Look at the Suns trading for Shaq and the Lakers trading for Gasol. With Roy outside and Aldridge and Oden inside...that's a nice young group.

Right now, I still say Oden was the right pick. Sure, I could get burned by saying that but we have to give it at least 3 years before you can say one way or the other.
