Fortunately for us, we'll be having a baby this year and even though it doesn't make up for the cost of having another child, our return should be about the same as last year even with the $1500 coming off. I would love to get a donation from the government after years of it being the other way around but this is America and if you work, you pay for others not to. It WILL fix itself...these checks aren't enough money to do anything to help boost the economy. Most folks I know aren't going out to just spend it...it will go towards bills or thrown in the bank. Now or later, getting our own money back rather than the government holding it suits me just fine. A portion of what we are getting will likely be paying for a new American made rifle for myself, and paying for a few things for my wife for her birthday when that bill comes due. Might help a little, but it's a bandaid on an artery I'm afraid. I agree. If they dont get a hold on the gas and food prices soon the country will be in a bind....
