muggs
or 3 ??? I will say that T.O. should be able to go off on Eric Wright or whatever small second year corner he'll have covering him (Browns really couldn't address their secondary since they did so much with the Dline) but yeah...when it comes to the 'Boys and all this hype surrounding them...I'm not buying. What's the wager Texastrophies (and only TT)?
texastrophies
What's the wager Texastrophies (and only TT)? Well if either one of us can remember it, I would think it should be something along the lines of an avitar for a week or month, but am open to suggestions. :D:D

muggs
Wait a second.....weren't you telling me just last year that Eric Wright was the best corner to hit the NFL since Deion Sanders? Hmmm... I didn't say that, but I said he'd be a good one before he ever played an NFL regular season game. And, he was a really good rookie. Matter of fact, we had two good rookie CB's last year in Wright and McDonald. But now they're our #1 and #2 corners and I'm not comfortable with starting two second year guys, espeically for as under-sized as they both are. The defensive secordary is their biggest weakness... btw- Deion Sanders?? You could have at least picked a corner who could tackle DB. buckbuster11
Yup, Jerry Jones just turned this guy into a Saint. The Clark County, Nev., district attorney's office is requesting a felony arrest warrant for Pacman Jones for failure to repay $20,000 in gambling debts at a Las Vegas casino, the Las Vegas Sun reported. The DA's office sent the request, along with a criminal complaint charging Jones with fraud and theft, to Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure on Thursday. Bonaventure had not signed the warrant as of late Thursday, according to the report. The complaint alleges that Jones has not paid back three markers, two for $5,000 each and one for $10,000, that Jones obtained from Caesars Palace on Sept. 3. Executives with Harrah's Entertainment, which owns Caesars Palace, asked the bad-check unit of the district attorney's office to open a criminal case against Jones on Feb. 12, according to the report. Unpaid casino markers are treated as bad checks in Nevada. Jones' agent, Manny Arora, told ESPN's Ed Werder that Jones intends to repay the casino markers within the next few days. He said the NFL office has been made aware of the facts in the dispute and does not believe the episode should impede their efforts to convince NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to let Jones take part in the Dallas Cowboys' offseason training program, or reinstate him for the 2008 season. "We've informed the league and it is my sincere hope that it has no impact on the reinstatement process,'' Arora said. Jones has agreed to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in a case against a man charged with a February 2007 shooting that left a strip-club bouncer paralyzed. He pleaded no contest in district court on Dec. 6 to a gross misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge stemming from the incident. His sentencing has been put off until he testifies in the shooting case. "Even though Mr. Jones is a witness for the state, he is not above the law," district attorney David Roger said Thursday, according to the Sun. "He will be treated like any other person who violates Nevada's bad check laws." But Arora called the gambling debt "a non-issue." "We've been in constant communication with the district attorney's office about giving us some time to pay back the debt," Arora told Werder. "The only delay was we tried to liquidate assets on behalf of Adam to raise the money since he wasn't receiving a salary and it took longer than expected. The debt will be paid within the next few days.'' Harrah's spokesman Gary Thompson declined to comment Thursday, according to the Sun.
