MCH
How has your team done so far in the draft? I'm liking the Bill's first two picks. Really didn't think Leodis would be there that long, but we got lucky. I was a little torn between Hardy and Malcolm Kelly, but I guess Hardy may have been the better choice. I've just never seen him play and after watching Malcolm for most of the year, I know he's going to be a stud in the NFL.
Tominator
I was out working all day and involved in church activities (oldest son gets confirmed next week), so I didn't see any TV yesterday until around 9:30 I turned on the Reds game. I think I made it through 2 innings before I zonked. Who did my Brownies get?
MCH
Your Brownies won't have a pick until the 4th round. Gave them up for Quinn, Williams and Rodgers.

Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
I am going to go with a C- for the Lions. Not horrible, but not great either. They are actually focusing more on what they need reather than the flashy players available. It's a Millen draft, they could have the top ten picks in the first round and he'd screw it up, or with their luck, they'd all be busts :D:D Would have liked to see them focus a bit more on the CB's and Safeties though, the grunt of their losses last year (the reason for blowout losses) were because they were consistantly getting beat deep. The eagles game really exploited their defense, seemed like everytime the eagles had the ball they went deep and scored on them.

They did get that UCF running back who I think was either close to breaking Barry Sander's college record or did. So that helps improve their running game. They released Kevin Jones and I think the only other running back that has experience was Tatum Bell. As for other teams. I think the Dolphins did really well. They got an OL, DE, a QB, and others. I dunno if they'll have a winning season this year, but I think they're on their way.
muggs
Chris the Browns did pretty good (at least from what I'm hearing from the "experts") considering what they had to work with. They gave up a lot of draft picks to land two Pro Bowl caliber defensive lineman so you have to love that too. The linebacker they drafted in the 4th round sounds pretty solid, and then they cut another deal with the Cowboys to move back into the 4th and they took a tight end. I was really surprised with that move, but they must have had this guy rated really high if they thought they needed to do that. I guess he's insurance if Winslow's knee finally ends that DB's career. Kiper gave them a B+ rating- for whatever that's worth. But considering they didn't have a pick until the 4th round, a B+ sounds good at least. btw- the Lions draft was horrible again. One of the worst. buckbuster11
The Steelers did well especially getting Mendinhall (sp) and Limas Sweed with their first two picks. The only problem was they didn't address their glaring need at o-line....but they would have been reaching to take lineman at those picks so they went with the best available. I can live with it. craig mack
I couldnt grade the Lions draft. I dont know any of the guys that they drafted. If they're good I'm sure the Lions will find a way too ruin their careers.
c_lou
I am liking what the Packers did. I know they got busted on for taking a WR with thier first pick, but Jennings will be a FA in 2 years. Not saying that Jordy will be a Jennings, but I think he has the possiblity. Also if Brohm can keep all of his ligaments straight, I think he could be a darn fine NFL QB. They also got a pretty good and SEC FAST corner from Auburn. And the TE from the Texas could develop into a good one. He has all the skills. The Chiefs had the best draft hands down though. I will say the Steelers first two picks were probably the best top two picks any team had...I cannot beleive the Lions passed on Mendenhall. Anyway, mark this down John, the "Stillers" failure to address that weak Oline is going to cost them this year- especially since the Browns have a good Dline now. That was a mistake. jaret
I think it was not a smart move on the Packers part to draft two qb's. They drafted Brian Brohm and Matt Flynn from LSU. It seems like they're trying to find another hall of fame qb.

It's not like they took Flynn and passed on Darren McFadden. Obviously losing Favre was a huge loss so why not try an address it? Not to mention, you don't want Rogers coming into training camp thinking he can just sleep walk and win the starting gig- so I like the Brohm pick in that regard. Competition is a good thing. c_lou
Speaking of Rogers, has anybody seen what the other Jeff Tedford QB's have done in the league? Akili Smith? Joey Harrington? Kyle Boller? All pretty decent college QB's, but they have pooped the bed in the NFL. Personally I think Brohm is the starting QB, not this season, but next. Texan_Til_I_Die
I'd give the Cowboys a B+. They did address the positions where they were weakest, but it remains to be seen how the players they picked up will respond to NFL conditions.
