RangerClay
Howdy guys, Since coyotes behavior is unknown to me I thought I would check with the experts. We went to our hunting camp over the weekend. When we walked in the was plenty of coyote tracks. These tracks would walk along our food plot and road, then they would tear up the snow and urinate several times in that spot, about a 3 foot circle. Then the would go along and do it again about every 30-40 yards. Are these things like buck scrapes or what? Have any of you ever seen anything like this? Thanks Ranger
muggs
Re: Question for the coyote experts Not sure, but I have a thought. Maybe there was a carcass there at one point, and they were feeding on it. Then it might have been carried off or consumed??? JMO Your idea about a coyote scrape sounds logical too. jcwa
Re: Question for the coyote experts Mating season is just around the corner. It sounds like they are marking there territory. Coyote's use urine as a calling card and territory markers.
