wildthing
Hey...wanted to see if anyone out there has ever slept overnight in a treestand? I have never done it, but must admit during the rut a few times I have been tempted to just stay in the stand until the next day. Just wanted to see if anyone has actually done it. fly
I've had to stay in the stand until about an hour after dark to keep from busting deer below me, but I've never had the desire to sleep in my stand overnight. My stands are all fairly small. If I fell asleep I'd fall out.
craig mack
Never stayed all night. I had to wait out deer before and a bear one time stayed for about an hour and half.
ccwhitey
I never have but I could in my climber
muggs
Nope. I've also never walked 100 miles when I could drive it, or done anything else that's completely unnecessary.
wildthing
I've had to wait out deer until hours after dark, and have been pretty deep in the woods in some areas that most hunters wouldn't go to to hunt. I have a hunter's safety system...and have thought about just staying in the woods. Someone out that has to have done it.
Ohiobucks
I've never done it, but I remember my uncle talking about waking up at 1:00am one night during Ohio's turkey season. Not being able to fall back asleep, he headed to the turkey woods and was set up where he wanted to be the next morning. Slept against the tree till the gobbles woke him up.... wtnhunt
Have considered it, but never have. Our big box blind in our back field sure would be easy to sleep in.
bfletch7441
I've fallen asleep in blinds before, but never intentionally. Ben

The_Kat
this is only my opinion but if someone intentionally slept in a deerstand they aren't too bright. Thats one of the easiest ways to fall out even in a climber!
mule659
Never have but have considered camping out in a ground blind...tree stand I think would just make you feel like crap the next morning and not to mention be dangerous.
Hoyt03
go home get some good rest then get up extra early. I know some people have spots where they can't get into in the morning because of deer using the area and have thought about staying all night, but not for me. If I did I would atleast climb down and sleep on the ground next to the tree.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
A ground blind or box blind of some sort is one thing, but no way would I try it in a treestand, to dangerous and not worth the risk IMO. Either way, neither seems like it would be very comfortable.
AdvantageTimberLou
this is only my opinion but if someone intentionally slept in a deerstand they aren't too bright. Thats one of the easiest ways to fall out even in a climber! Exactly, no deer is worth dying over or being paralyzed. Never sleep in your stand, just not worth it. Hunt smart and live to hunt another day!
BowJoe
I've thought about it but never done it. I know of a few places where it would be possible to laydown on the "Tree Condo" floor but it's not necessary where I hunt. Deer might move but if I wanted to get in without them knowing, I'd just walk to the stand. It's only about 150 yds from my buddy's back door and the walk in is down wind of where any deer would be. Tominator
Nope. I've been trapped in a tree for a few minutes, and I have one buddy who loves to get in an hour early, but other than that, no.

Leo
I've spent the night in a turkey blind. It's kinda nice to sleep in and still set up the dekes in pitch dark. I saw tons of turkeys the next morning. Not blowing any off the roost while you're going in helps.
