muggs
Orlan, you'll appreciate this. Yesterday evening my fiance' and I were working out in the yard when I brought up the idea of getting a puppy once her brother finally takes back the mutt we've been watching for him until he finds a house. She's not all that keen on the idea so she says "you can either have a new puppy, or a fiance'...one or the other.":):D I just kept my mouth shut. WHISKEYSWAMP
I would definitely go with the puppy. if you want one then she'll have to deal with it if she wants to be with you. but, this is coming from a guy who just dated the craziest, moodiest woman I've ever met... I can't help it, I love the crazy ones! lol
stevebeilgard
is your fiancee' a strong swimmer? i'm thinking of her ability to retrieve a duck. how about pointing out a pheasant? actually, that's not a real fair comparison. tell you what. get a nice puppy. put the puppy and the fiancee' in the trunk of your car. come back in a couple of hours, and see which one is happiest to see you. it's your call. lol
Tominator
Puppies have nice breath, but then they get older. Work this angle--puppy or new bow.
buckee
tell you what. get a nice puppy. put the puppy and the fiancee' in the trunk of your car. come back in a couple of hours, and see which one is happiest to see you. it's your call. lol Now there is some great advice You could also remind your "fiance'" that the papers ain't been drawn up quite yet, so she'll have to wait on the controlling issues. RDNKHNTR77
think of it this way eric.....spend $20 on your puppy for some toys and treats and it will be love at first sight.....spend $20 on your fiance and it youll be swapping sleeping quarters with the pup for the night
muggs
LOL, that is pretty funny Eric. Think Steve is on to something about the controlling issues too, not even married yet and she is not willing to compromise? Oh, she wasn't being serious. I can tell she'll miss Bailey too, so she'll be wanting one as well. She's just got to be a pain about it, you know, typical women stuff. fly
Glad to hear she wasn't serious. If she was I'd want to know why she didn't want the puppy? That might give you some insight on what's to come.
BowJoe
I say go with the woman muggs... I mean, with your looks, personality and lack of intelligence, your chances with women are very limited!:D:D:p:eek:
Ohiobucks
Fiance's are over-rated..... I take it you bought her a nice engagement ring. Did she get you an engagement set of golf clubs, or an engagement bow, or an engagement shotgun? See?

BowJoe
Here's a little trick I learned. Ask for ridiculous stuff that you really aren't die hard for but wouldn't mind having anyway. Do this once a week while picking a new item every Sunday and continue asking for it or saying how you'd really like to have it the entire week. If she protests, don't put up an argument at all and quickly drop the subject. Before long, you'll have built up a huge list of things you never got but really wanted and it won't be difficult to bring up something you didn't get when she asks for something. She'll feel guilty about asking for her item and may just ask you what you'd like to have so she can get her item. Doesn't work every time because as we all know, women are the sneakiest creatures on earth that even foxes look up to. Remember, the key is too be ridiculously consistent and eventually you'll get that big ticket item you wanted all along. IF you need any more advice Muggs, you can always come to me buddy... I'm here for you!?!
