Shaun_300
I started back in grade 6 or 7, stealing smokes off of my parents. I didn't cough or gag or vomit like mentioned above. But I've also been exposed to the stuff since I was concieved. I've heard it said that some people are more likely to start, almost like a genetic thing. Look at smokers and non-smokers. Most non-smokers come from non-smoking households, and most smokers have parents that are smokers. I've been trying to quite for some time now. I've gone a few months at a time, but always break down and buy another pack eventualy. Or wind up in a situation where everyone else is smoking, have that one cigarette with them and its back to square one as far as quitting goes. Funny thing, when I'm out hunting or fishing and the likes, I don't even think about smoking. I should do nothing but sit outdoors... I am the same way buddy! Except neither of my parents smoke, nor do anyone else in my family except one aunt. I started because of a little peer pressure, and it's just something I tried that I shouldn't have. My best friend to this day and I started at the same time. We're both still at it and both regret it (as much as we enjoy it) to this day. I've quit a few times for a few weeks at a time but have always gave in for just one on a coffee break. Gets ya everytime. I'll tell ya, it is a VERY hard thing to quit, and I have a strong willpower! Hopefully I'll kick it for good sometime soon.

ccwhitey
Do you eat fast food? No, well maybe once a month if that. Why? Do you get at least one hour of aerobic activety per day? Maybe not everyday, but almost. 4-5 days out of a week. Why? What is your point muggs? Not to put any words in your mouth Muggs but I think what he is getting at is that peer pressure is indeed out there in every possible place, and most but not all usually conform to the pressure. Each case it different whether it may be smoking, eating fast food, or anything that a group of people do and you join in even if it's as harmless as watching tv or what ever the case may be.
