Hawk killed by own meal.

I read this and immediately thought of the picture I saw in school with the frog and the crane where the crane is trying to swallow the frog but the frog grabs the crane by the throat so the crane can't swallow him. The motto below is "Never give up!!!" Sorta seems fitting in this story. I should warn some folks that this is graphic.

Did you see the claws on that "songbirds" foot. Looks like a pheasant foot to me.

It's really a shame. I love to watch the sharp-shinns hunt when I am walking or in my treestand. They will swoop and dive without a worry amongst the limbs and branchs while other hawks just hunt the open fields.

...Woah!..That is very interesting....good article , even though graphic-

-That is too bad...I love hawks...

-My gut feeling, though, is that the hawk was hit somehow by a vehicle, and the croup busted open...I find it hard to believe it was clawed from inside.-especially since they don't just swallow their prey whole, like a reptile....they have to rip their meals and swallow pieces....??
