Late Season birds

Recommended Posts

usually by the end of season gobblers have heard every type of hen call known to man and very wary of everything......So call sparingly and be prepared for a gobbler to make silent entry to your set up. Also helps to know where he wants to go and wait him out there.....

Good luck ;):)

I usually head to their strut zone and wait it out calling sparingly. Hope you get one.

You can do that or, last year I got a bird during Illinois' last season on ground that only 2 people had hunted on over the course of about 5 weeks. If you have land like that, I would head there. If not, head to a ridge where they like to strut or wait until mid-morning when he is done with first group of hens and wait for a gobble. Give a few yelps or clucks and a lot of times he will come running!!! Good luck man!!!
