Turkeygirl
So I don't know what to do...so give me some ideas. Rain coming in with thunderstorms. I may not make it out to roost birds tonight. so my options for the morning are: (1)Set up at the corn field with the manure in the morning since I would think they'll head to that if it's going to rain all night. (2)Go up to my boss' place bordering state land...he told me where he was hearing birds (didn't say if yelps or gobbles). He was hearing them in his big golden rod/grass field bordered by state land mostly...alot of pine plantation...creek on one side...small bits hardwoods...I think the turkeys cross through a bit. (3) Drive about 30 minutes over to this new area to hunt. Guy owns three hills...one has a powerline and open area on the one side then an oak/hickory ridge...said this is a hotspot. the other hill behind his house and mainly maple but a big field up top that isn't his but he said I could hunt there if I wanted as he and the owner hunt each others. Thoughts???
dbHunterNY
I'd say possibly choice 1. Then choice (2). Choice (3) I would consider checking on further. I've seen similar situations where people got bitter. I would check with the neighbor directly.
Hoyt03
you've already done you homework, go out in the morning where you have been seeing birds and have fun.
