FINALLY--spring plots are in....

It's been so wet and I've been so busy with the work, soccer, and softball but I finally got my seeds in the ground.

I'm trying something new this year. I planted an acre of soybeanman's wildlife soybean mixture. It's a mix of 4 different round-up ready soybeans. I'm excited to see how they do. I also planted about another acre of my usual wildlife mix that is blended here locally at Ross Seed Company in El Reno.

I also mowed my Hamann Farms clover/trefoil plot. This plot is now going on 4 years and still going strong. I need to give it a good spraying of Poast Plus but hopefully the mowing will slow down the unwanted grasses.

After mowing and a close up of my Hamann Farms plot--Martin it's hard to believe the clover is still this thick after 4 years. You make some AWESOME food plot blends:

Actually just about every large tree on my property looks like this--left over from the severe ice storm we had in December. On some trees you can actually see where the deer are browsing the tips and new leafs.

I'll keep you updated on the soybean progress.

Looks good Todd. Got some seed from soybeanman to plant this summer here too. Hopefully it will dry out enough in the bottom that I will be able to get it planted before it gets too late. Still way too wet down there to even think about getting a tractor in now. Our clovers are flowering again here already, needs mowed again.
