Stickslinger
I have an 835 mag shotgun that I've been having some problems with, it seems like when I pump the gun to get another shell in the chamber the shell that is in the tube will not come out unless I really slam the pump back. I asked a local gunsmith and he showed me what the problem might be and told me the part would cost $35 and for him to do replace it would be another $75. He told me that it was pretty easy to replace and I could do it myself, the part is about 4inche long and it holds the shells in the tube until you pump the gun, then this little ear on the end of this piece moves in and the next shell comes out and is ready to be pumped in the chamber. He told me I had to take the trigger assembly out, when I do this does it come out in one piece? He said there was a pin that I had to take out to get the trigger assemly out, the only thing that I see is halfway up the gun from the trigger, is that what I need to remove? lil hunter
I've never taken my 835 apart. I know my 870's trigger assembly is all one piece though. Get out your owners manual and it will have instructions on how to take it apart. you might just wanna take the gun apart and clean it real good before you start replacing parts though. That can make a pretty big difference.
punkinslinger
I have an 835 mag shotgun that I've been having some problems with, You wouldn't happen to be using Nitro 3.5" shells would you?? I had the same problem with mine years ago with that shell. The hulls were a bit too long but they have since corrected the problem I hear.
