ShaneB
Well i got my area for my food plot plowed up tonight and i had the bright idea of disking it up right away well my 4th trip around my front tire drops in a furrow...no big deal right???wrong i tried going forward and that didnt work i tried backing up i drop down even further after 5 minutes of back and forth trying to back out i unhook the disk and try well lets put it this way my tractor couldnt sink down any further so i go get my neighbor and his tractor we pull it out and then i park the tractor until the plot drys out....im putting corn in and alfalfa in so the deer should be in there heavy. dogdoc
couple of years ago I was cleaning out silt and crap in my pond--we were in a severe drought so there wasn't much water in the pond. I had the box blade on and I hit a wet spot and sunk. I too called the neighbor and he brought his big tractor and pulled me out. good luck with the plot todd
wtnhunt
Good luck with the plot. Post some pics of your progress if you can. Had more than my fair share of times I have hung my tractor, most of the time I have managed to get it out without needing a pull, a front end loader is a very handy tool. One of the worst times I have actually been stuck in the mud was in the snake infested bottom last summer bush hogging. I got too close to a hole that was wet, could not really see it and did not remember it being as large as it was. The front end fell off in the hole which was deeper than I realized, and the 4wd kubota was not going anywhere, I did not even try as I figured I would just mar down and pack the lugs of the tires. Ended up walking back to the house, got the truck and some 2X12 boards and some long heavy steel trailer ramps. Used boards under the bucket and raised the front end up enough to get the ramps up under the front wheels. Ended up backing right out with no problem. Have gotten the front end of the tractor off the side of a levee a few times too, in which cases I needed a pull, nothing the truck could not handle, but that is a scarey situation. toddyboman
I think we all have been there done that :p Sounds like your plot should receive lots of activity! Good luck

Ben When you get stuck you sure know how to do it right. The dozer stuck next to the tractor is something, were you able to winch it out? I have had my kubota hung similar to how your tractor is there and got it out using heavy steel ramps and boards with just the tractor. A front end loader on a 4wd tractor can prove to be a lifesaver sometimes.
bfletch7441
Yeah, the dozer winched itself out. You can see the cable coming off the back of it in the third picture. After getting himself out, he winched the backhoe and tractor out also. We tried getting the tractor our ourself. Nothing doing though. Under about 6" of topsoil, it was like quicksand. A real mess!
