too_pointer
How many here have wood or synthetic stocks on their muzzleloaders ??What do you prefer ?? I have a black syn. on my Encore, ordering soon a laminated stock for it. I love my Encore, but the syn. stock is noisy and cheap. I really don't want the added weight, but I think I would like it much more with a laminated. Just my opinion though LOL too_pointer
Guest Patrick_White
Re: MUZZLELOADER STOCKS ?? I've got both synthetic and laminate stocks. Both are good although I do like the synthetic better for hunting. My synthetic is a Knight so it's of better quality thatn the T/C synthetics. My T/C has a laminate stock which I prefer for that brand's stock choices.
AJ
Re: MUZZLELOADER STOCKS ?? I prefer laminated wood stocks. The added weight reduces recoil. The wood is a lot warmer to the touch. Most plastic stocks just suck. Laminated fiberglass stocks are great, injection molded stocks are not worth their weight in dust.

str8shooter48
Re: MUZZLELOADER STOCKS ?? I put a Boyds pepper laminated set on my Encore last year. In my opinion the synthetic stocks T/C uses really takes away from the overall quality of their guns. My only gripe with the gun. The laminated stock is defintely more eye appealing, and the added weight seems to soak up more recoil, and balances the gun better. Check out E.A.Browns website they have a special going on both the stock and forend on sale for $99.00 http://www.eabco.com/encorestocks.html Good luck

I'm sure I will like my Encore much better with a descent stock on it too_pointer

too_pointer
Re: MUZZLELOADER STOCKS ?? Looks like I missed out on the Brown's stocks for $99, they now are $109, still a good price, ordering mine next week I want a Simms recoil pad for it, I don't know which one will fit the Boyds stock yet. too_
AJ
Re: MUZZLELOADER STOCKS ?? Personally, I would still go with the Brown stock as you can still get the checkering for $25. Thats a good deal. It expires Feb 1.
