recoil

I like my 25.06 alot. It is very loud with little recoil. I shoot a 12ga in the shotgun zone around my house, and that has some kick, the 25.06 will have less than 1/3 of that, and the .270 slightly more...The 25.06 is a little more than your .243, but not really noticeably so, but it sure does bark!

I had a good friend who shot a 270 several years ago and seperated his shoulder. I'd stick with the 243.

I cannot help but notice that you're new here in the forums.....Welcome.

We do have a few rules though;

1. Shoot the smallest gun possible.

2. Vote for O'Bama.

3. Cheer for Dale Jr.

4. Sit down in the bathroom at all times.

Have a nice day

How's the recoil from a 270? Have a 243 no noticable recoil, thinking about a new rifle. Not really recoil sensitive, 12 GA deer gun is my usual. Just wondered about a 270 or even a 25-06

Welcome to the forums!!! ;)

If you're used to a 12 ga. a .270 or 25-oh will give you no trouble.

LMBO, that is pretty funny Jim. So you know, the reply from jjl(Jim) is a bit sarcastic:rolleyes:, might have used some of these :rolleyes::rolleyes:.

The .270 does not have much more recoil than a .243, it has way less than a 12 gauge. You should be fine with it.
