MCH
Working on our local club's website in my free time. Take a look and see what you think. Old website: www.idabelcountryclub.com New website: www.idabelcountryclub.com/sampleindex4.htm I DON'T HAVE THE LINKS WORKING YET, THOUGH. I'm hoping to put together a site map of our course where you can just click on a hole and get thumbnails and a summary of each hole. Will try to keep you updated if you want. Tominator
Looks good. Should probably take the apostrophe off the "member's only."
MCH
Looks good. Should probably take the apostrophe off the "member's only." Must've overlooked that. Thanks.
muggs
Huge improvement...nice work. At first, I didn't really read everything you wrote in this thread and looked at the old website, which I thought was your work and thought I wouldn't post anything because I didn't have anything nice to say about it. But after I saw the second link was your improvement, honestly, it looks WAY better. I like the light (mostly white) overall look, and I like the logo. From a postively critical, graphic designer major's opinion, I think the color you picked for the text for the navigation links on the left is a little too light making it hard to read. I think you should use a violet color like you did, just something a little warmer. Try to get it to match the violet in the logo. I also don't like the red in there. It's hard on the eyes. Maybe a deeper red would look better. Overall though, huge improvement and it looks pretty good.
MCH
Thanks. My next step is to change the color of the links. I used a "dropper" to get the light green, but agree that a darker color would work better. Also, trying to change the blue, but I'm new to css so its a learning process for me. Tominator
Any developments? Is that where you and Kyle played the other day?
MCH
Yep. I think I've given up on the project. In order to fully remake the website, I'd have to continue doing updates. This would alienate the current webmaster, a good friend who although might not be a great web designer he does try hard. Anyway, I've talked to the golf course super. and he wants me to work on a "resume" website for him. That should keep me busy enough.
