Got the first one the second day of season (as you can tell we had a lot of rain that day). He looks pretty pathetice but he was a nice bird. I didn't even bother weighing him b/c he probably weighed 35 pounds with all of the water in his feathers, but his beard was 10 1/2" and his spurs were 1 1/8".I harvested the second one on the first day of the second week. He weighed 23 3/4lbs, 9 1/2" beard and about 1 1/4" spurs. The last one is the jake my stepson harvested his first morning hunting during the youth season. Considering how crappy the weather was and ornery the birds were acting we had a great year. My buddies haven't had such good luck. My 3 buddies that turkey hunt usually kill 2 a year and none of them have killed a bird. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
