Turkeygirl
Well had school the past two days, now I can get back out in the woods. Going to go over to the state land tnoight and I'm hoping that bird is still there and gobbles...or any bird for that matter. I'm trying to figure out how to get near where he was but not too close incase he's in there roosted or mulling around before roosting. If I don't hear anything, I won't really know where to go or what to do tomorrow.....that's why not hearing birds is depressing...doesn't give me confidence in where I should hunt. Of course may have to deal with idiot hunters tomorrow...who knows. I guess I can always drive around the dirt roads and stop and see if I get a response from anywhere. Adjam5
With the rain letting up for the weekend I think the gobblers should be willing to play. I'll be out with my sons Good Luck Ruth. Have fun!

WHISKEYSWAMP
good luck turkeygirl... stay with it and don't let the birds get you frustrated. If you're not having any luck in the area, I bet the other hunters aren't either. Let them give up first and the place will be all yours for the pickings. I've always had my most luck during the later part of the season when the hunting pressure dies down.
