Guest COACH J.
I got this bird saturday may third just one day after my birthday! It was 5:30 pm and he was in a feild with some hens and would not gobble or come my way so I used a ditch that runs along the feild and was able to get within ten yards of him keeping a stump between us. I laid beside the stump and waited for the hens to walk past it because I knew he would follow! Sure enough he did and he ate lead!!! It was my first turkey and has a 10 inch beard and weighs 22lbs. He is a beautifull Tennessee gobbler! Here are some pics!

PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
Congrats on a really nice bird. Isn't it just great to learn all you can about these elusive birds and have to throw it out the window sometimes. You just may have harvested a 3+year old bird which are much harder than the two yr olds to fool.
