Tominator
Must admit I play hooky from the real church and hold my own mass 20 feet up a tree every now and then. I hope the good Lord will forgive me on that day of days.

jaret
I like that pic. I definitely agree, how can you not see the sunrise and the woods coming to life to not think there isn't a God?

Straight Shooter
Cool picture, however, we can't hunt on Sunday in NC so it doesn't really apply to me. LOL The picture of that deer was a big discussion on AT about shot placement or angle and how far the deer ran. As you can all see the shot put the deer down and from the story of the hunter who took it, was within sight of the stand. Never really understood the whole issue with it, regardless its a great buck and an awesome picture.

hoytman26
Let me share a story with you guys. I'll make it short. My wife worked at lowes while in college back in 05'. She worked every sunday and I missed church because I didnt want to go without her. I was back sliden for 2 years. I missed the biggest buck of my life and named him gimpy. He would have scored in the upper 130's. Hunted him for 2 more years and saw him twice. On saturday Oct. 27th this year I was in my treestand praying for lots of things like family, my boss and obviously for another chance at gimpy. I made a promise in the stand that night that I wouldnt miss another Sunday of church for deer hunting and was serious about it and God knew my heart. Went to church Sunday morning and rededicated my life to Jesus. Monday at work decided to go out that evening and at 6:30 looked out over my decoy standing 75 yards away at a monster. When he started walkiing my way he was limping. IT WAS GIMPY!!! Shot him at 41 yards. Best night of my life. Dont ever be afraid to commit your life to the reason your even able to deer hunt. Without Jesus none of us would hunt.
Turkeygirl
Totally with ya on that pic! The woods is my church....I like solitude...I can better think about God...see His beauty in the natural creation he made...and be blessed by Him just being there! Hoosierbuck
Once in a while I get to go to church on Saturday night so i can hunt Sunday mornings. Wouldn't feel right about skipping to hunt. Hunting and nature do make one contemplate God the Father, the Creator of all. However, I need to hear about and contemplate Jesus in order for life to have any purpose to it. Jesus told us to get together and he would be with us-fellowship and study with your brothers and sisters in Christ is not something to skip lightly. Sweet picture anyway.
