Strutlet's 20 gauges 1/2 upgraded...

Way before this turkey season I sent the Strutlets' NEF NWTF Jakes 20 gauges off to be threaded for choke tubes. Major complications with toolin arose and the guns came back 2 days before season. Then Comp-N-Choke was completely sold out of 20 ga. turkey tubes of any description. :( The tubes arrived this past Friday and I scooped up a couple boxes of 3" Winchester Supreme #5's (wanted #6's but everyone was out of them). I screwed the C-N-C XX-Full tube into the boy's gun Friday night and went out to take a rip. I set a 25" disc at 30 yards and had at it. Wow!! 202 pellets (out of 213 total for the 1 1/4 oz. payload) were in the 25" circle. Of that........95% were inside a 15" circle. The Strutlets are toting a pair of VERY hateful 20's. I am very anxious to, #1.......try #6 shot and, #2.........try them at 40 yards. I can see no reason (judging from what the gun did at 30 yards) to let the kiddos shoot to 40 yards if need be. It's got me wondering if Dad might not appreciate a 5 lb. 40 yard capeable turkey gun his own self.:D

Now......as soon as I can get the guns to my smith for Weaver rail installation we can get some red-dots mounted up. Turkeys beware!!
