OTPG new guy off the porch

Recommended Posts

Had the privilege of attending the Spring Lead Fling a few days back and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got to meet some terrific folks and see and shoot some wondrous rifles. Since I enjoy shooting magnum centerfire brass cartridge firearms and since the founder of OTPG is part of the family, it seemed the proper thing to to do. I put my first magnum rifle together back in the late 1960's, in caliber .264 Win, followed by a pair of Ruger Super Blackhawks, then a .375/.338 wildcat and finally a .338 RUM.I have used all of them to take game. They are, like any firearm, limited by their accuracy level and the ability and judgment of the shooter. The advantage comes at those times when the lesser calibers make an opportunity iffy. The extra energy and the flatter trajectory are the difference.

When a little more is good, a bunch more is a lot better!!
