Chrud
It was $3.79 when I filled up today. It's about 10 miles to work for me so MPG isn't an issue.
unioncountyslayer
Kind of hard to downsize with the line of work I'm in, but I have switched from Diesel to Gas. I was getting a few miles per gallon better out of my diesel trucks, but with diesel going for around $4.20-$4.25 a gallon, I'm still coming out a little better with gas. It's been tough. The Kid
that's how much regular unleaded gas costs here. Out of curiosity....how many of you have already downsized your vehicles???????? shoot thats it is 3. 98 here in michigan where i live,, thats why i ride a motorcycle
Grant-KS
$3.649 when I filled up the other day. I drive a '92 Chevy S-10 5 speed 2.8L V6, and get 23.5-23.75MPG using Conklin Fuel Mate Plus. I also bought a motorcycle last summer that gets 48-49MPG that I ride when the weather's decent and I don't have to haul anything.
Washi
I switched from a V8 car to my Ford Ranger with 3.0 V6 when gas was still pretty cheap. I'm glad I did but I hoped to eventually upgrade to a bigger truck. Now I doubt I'll ever be able to afford to.
wyohunter
$3.45 a gallon here, too crappy to ride my bike most days, so i'm driving the gas guzzler jeep pickup till then.... on the bright side, i helped get a oil well pumping yesterday
Strut10
Just went to 3.859 here today. No plans to downsize. The cost difference to buy something else would buy a lot of gas. Besides.......I have 4 kids. Gotta have some passenger capacity. 1996 Gr. Cherokee LTD 5.2L V-8 makes 17.5-19.5 mpg (local) 2003 Suburban Z-71 5.3L V-8 makes 15-17 mpg (local) That'll have to do. Mach1
Jumped to $3.89 here in town today. It's $3.78 in the town I work in 22 miles away. Still driving my F150 Supercrew 4x4 and 16 mpg. Wife drives a Honda Accord at 32 mpg. Don't have the cash to downsize and it would be hard anyway because I hate driving little cars because I can't see as well and don't feel safe in them. I'll keep spending the extra to feel safe.
arrow32
It's 3.99 here and I'm getting ready to buy a truck here. Need it just going to watch my driving.

JJL
Don't plan on downsizing anytime soon. As a matter of fact I plan on doing just the opposite. I'm really in need of a 3/4 ton diesel that'll pull my skidsteer all day long and plow snow in the wintertime. I think that there will be some really good used ones on the market in a few months. I'll just pass the cost of fuel on to my customers, It's the American way.
