lil hunter
So I was loving everything about my bike, and I even started loving it more when I filled up the tank for just $13. Unfortunately, I shut the gas lid, and couldn't get the key out. Pulled on it a bit, and it just snapped right off. So now I have about an inch of key left down in there. I can barely grip the end of it with some pliers, but i still can't get it to pull out. I had trouble pulling it out before, and I don't think I'm gonna be able to grip it enough with the pliers to get it. Any advice?
Leo
I'm not a locksmith but I just about guarantee you he will do the following. 1. Drill out the old lock. 2. Install a new one. On a gas cap? No way I'd suggest you try that yourself. I'd say unfortunately it's gonna cost you a trip to the dealer service

No way I would try drilling it out myself, probably best off to take it in to a dealer or call a locksmith.

texastrophies
Lil, if you take a small propane torch and warm it up just a little bit, it should just about come out on it's own.... BTW, make sure you have a good insurance policy before you try this method, both health and bike. :D:D
