muggs
Anyone own any, if so, what kind? I'm looking at buying a pre-owned set, and I'm trying to decide which ones to get.
Guest Finn
Callaways are nice, but I don't like the huge size....prefer a streamlined old style look. Huge sellers, so many people like them. I hit Mizuno MX-23's....forged, cavity back irons. Recommend you check them out. Very forgiving, and long
MCH
Shoot Callaway X-14's. Bought them off Callaway Pre-owned. Great set of clubs. Looking at Ping for my next purchase though.
muggs
I didn't realize they were that over-sized Craig. I don't think I'd like that either. Kevin, are yours much different than the average iron?
Guest Finn
I like a sleek look on the top of my irons.... but clubs are like bows....it's gotta fit the user and no one else

muggs
I'm the proud new owner of some X-14's. Read nothing but rave reviews about them and even though they're 8 year's old, they seem to be some of the best irons Callaway has ever put out there. They'll beat the 13 year old knock-offs I've been hacking around with anyway.

Got to have shafts that match your swing. How long you gonna' carry the grudge? DB Grudge? I have no idea what you are talking about. muggs
Cool! What shafts did you get with them? I think that is probably a little more important when selecting the right clubs. Got to have shafts that match your swing. Steel. That's what I like when it comes to irons. The graphite shafts are too whippy for my swing. I've hit Sarah's Dad's nice Pings with graphite and I can't control them nearly as much as I can my cheap-o knock offs. They had different flex to the steel, but I just got the "uniflex" which is the stock, factory shaft. I swing fairly hard, but not so hard I'd need their stiff flex steel they put out. Tominator
It ain't the bow, it's the Indian behind the bow. I took my 20 year old, garage knock off clubs and whipped all your butts; well, Craig got me by a few strokes.

This time around I'll be able to at least keep it closer.
VABuckSlayer
My brother has the X-18's and likes them a lot. Good luck with the new clubs! I have a set of Titlist 704 CB's and need to get them fitted. If that doesn't help then I may get a new set of clubs myself. Actually I should probably just stick to Putt-Putt!!! :D:D

"That's rich." Congratulations Chris, you're the first perosn I've heard use that expression other than my Grandma.:D Hey, I talk, but I show up and deal with the fallout if I can't back it up. We don't have to bet, I'm just trying to get you to show up...and I'd love to see my portrait as your avatar. I think you should just do that anyway.
