muggs
I played this course over the weekend. As it turns out, the course record 61 was shot by Arnold Palmer in the '60's. If it wasn't for all those double bogeys, I would have beat it. Maybe next time.
MCH
If anyone can beat Palmer's low score, it would be you muggsy.

muggs
that's what I was thinking.....so how'd you finish.....low 70s? 92...short game was for not. Missed a 3 foot par putt, four putt once, and three putt three times. I was leaving a lot of my approach shots left and right of the green- leading me to spend more time in the sand than David Hasselhoff...huddla...huddla... Not my best day, especially seeing how I shot a 40 the previous day (only played 9).

muggs
Where is that course? Rt. 91 and Rt. 84 in Willoughby Hills. It's now owned by the city, but it's in really good shape. It's a short course but the greens are tough and there's a lot of shielded greens and dog legs so it's challenging but not really all that hard. I was surprised to hear they used to hosts PGA events there in the 50's and 60's. It's not that nice...

Usually I can putt pretty good but I've had no feel for it so far this year...it's killing my scores too.

I use to be really good around the greens.....but I also spent more time practicing my short game than anything else. But that was back when I had LOTS of free time.:D
jbeck
I'm telling ya Muggs, this second little one is really starting to afect my mid Irons. I've got to start getting up early and hit the driving range before work. I played yesterday and my alignment was def. a problem with 8 to 5 irons. To much chipping to score decent.
