I did see a nice brute on another piece of property I hunt, but he wouldn't offer me a shot with the bow and he came in to 20 yrds or less, twice. There was just too much junk in my way. Killed a mature doe probably four and a half years old with the bow, and killed a mature doe with the rifle. Never had an opportunity on a good buck I would consider a shooter buck this past season. My best buck grosses 151"+ as a 11pt. My favorite is the 8pt I got when I was 17 years old. He scores around 137". Here are the pics in order. It was a 168 5/8 inch 9 pt. It field dressed 248 lbs. This year I shot a 9 pt buck that had a busted brow tine with my shotgun that hasn't been scored yet and it was nearly the same body size as the other one. Here they are in that order. Last year's season, 2003, I shot 1 deer and it was the biggest fattest, ugliest deer I've ever shot. Ohiobucks will attest to how ugly that doe was. I should have checked her teeth because based on the Roman nose, body weight, and general lousy quality meat she had, I'd guess she was at least 4 or 5 years old.
