The_Kat
So I went golfing after I got in from back home yesterday, and shot the best game I've shot so far!!! I made one birdie putt on a hole I usually blow, and shaved 12 shots off my average game. :D:D Now what was my score???? I shot a 102-which is terrible, but considering I have been averaging 112-114 I was quite please. In fact we started a second round and got three holes in, I went par, par, birdie! I'm quite tickled and am thinking of going this evening!

muggs
Man, you keep this up you'll be scoring in the 80's in no time. It also sounds like you're hooked, I have that same problem...think a few of us around here do.
Tominator
Somebody's got the fever.
Guest Finn
That's great....congrats on the improvement. 102 being new at the game is not bad at all!!! Remember, it's ok to shoot high scores, it's just not ok to shoot high scores and play slow
MCH
Congrats Kyle! Was hoping you'd have a good day or two. Just never give up. Heck, after Sunday's 84 I was flying high. Went to a "bullshoot"(4-man scramble) last night and shot like I'd never picked up a golf club before in my life. In 9 holes, we played my ball maybe 3 times. The_Kat
It's raining and storming like crazy this morning....so I'm hoping that the course dries out in time to go this evening!

The_Kat
Shot another 102 yesterday. My game flip flopped on me again though. My drives were great, my irons were either way short or way long. My putting as usual was terrible! I shot a 50 on the front 9 and totally fell apart on the back 9. I was quite happy with my effort at first and then PO'd that I choked on the back.
Guest Finn
Welcome to golf, buddy. Seems no reason for 1 part of the game to be good, and the other sucks....then it makes a complete switch the next time out.
The_Kat
It was definitely aggrevating!!!! Makes me wanna go back and try again harder!

VABuckSlayer
Very addictive sport!!! Amazing how a round can change from one side to the next. Last year I had a round where I shot 40 on the front and was thinking about 70's and then proceeded to shoot 51 on the back and didn't break 90. Very humbling sport! Keep at it. One thing I can tell you is that no matter how you shoot it's never good enough. You can shoot 75 and be mad at a few shots that could have made a 72. That's what keeps you coming back for more!!! jbeck
Drive for show putt for dough;):D Try making birdie after hitting in OB. Drive for a decent Mid iron into a green, Putt for Dough if you don't leave yourself a 30 footer. LOL
The_Kat
Got really close to breaking 100 yesterday....shot a 101 and missed a few easy putts I shoulda made!
Guest Finn
you're getting there, Kat....keep playing and the scores will get better. Practice from 150 yards and in...that's how you score
