Hi all. New member here. Signed up about three hours ago. Wow. What a wealth of information. Was out bass fishin' till the rain came this morning, so I figured I'd better start looking for a taxidermist once again...Been looking for a few days and google hasn't been much help. Finding a taxidermist is quite like finding a tattooist. You need to find a good one if you now what I mean.

I've got a Coyote in my freezer. A pretty female with nice colors in her fur. I salted her and put her in the freezer but I don't know how long she'll be able to stay in there without incurring any damage. Does ANYONE have a reputable taxidermist or a website link to one in New york state? I'm on Long Island, on the beach but I wouldn't mind travelling up to the catskills. There used to be a taxidermist off of route 28 but I can't sem to find it. Any help will be greatly appreciated...

I sent him a P.M. thanks for the input. I went to his site. I might have screwed up my hide. (so sad and dis-heartening) I skinned her leaving the scull and lower limbs intact, then salted her and rolled her up and put her in the freezer. In one of rtf's posts, it states to never salt a deer hide and then put in the freezer. The post was referring to a deer hide but i'm sure the same rule applies to a coyote. I sure hope I didn't ruin the poor animals hide....
