JJL
With the almost certainty of O'Bama's nomination by the Democrats, wouldn't it be just like John McCain to cross the aisle once again and tab Hillary as his running mate? It's absolutely a love story in the making. What would unite the country more in a show of solidarity and unity? It would guarantee them a certain landslide victory over O'Bama. McCain gets his well deserved trip to the White House and after his untimely death Hillary gets her's as well. It's pure political genius.............. I'd love to be a fly on the wall during those cabinet meetings.... .
buckee
John McCain - ( thinking and smiling) " Oh I'd like to send you to the front lines, with a squirt gun" Hillary Clinton - (thinking and smiling) " You're chopped liver John. Everyone knows I'm a shoe-in. Who could resist my phony accents wherever I go, and my catchy smile "

Texan_Til_I_Die
I don't know whether to laugh (because no Republican would ever pick a Democrat to run with him) or cry (because McCain just might).
slugshooter
I will admit that picking McCain possible running mate is a tough one to call. I do not however feel that he would be politically naive enough to alienate the core conservative constituency by choosing a Democrat as his running mate. His best bet in my opinion, to win over the conservatives, would be to choose Huckabee, or maybe even Romney.
