It was to nice yesterday to stay in the office, so I headed out to play afternoon group. We draw A B C D players and play a points game.

I was playing the Black Tees, this gives me 2 extra strokes. Puts me up to a 3 handicap that way.

Had a great ball striking day, putted decent. Shot 1 over 71. I had been leaving puts short all day, so on 17 ( 234 yrd. par 3) I rolled a 25 ft. putt 37ft. and missed the 12 footer coming back. LOL So much for getting it to the hole.

I shot a 92 the other day....putted excellent! But my drives are still horrible as ever. Instead of slicing all the time, I not hook and slice. I need advice from a golf pro.

I'm no pro, but go to the range and take half swings with the driver. This will help you get used to the timing it takes for a full swing. Learn how you hands close to draw the ball, and how you hold you hands to fade the ball. It really helps with muscle memory.

Good luck

LOL @ Joe,

I try to avoid places like that.

I just had a 52 degree wedge bent, it was hitting about 30' left of where I thought it should be. A guy at our course bent some other clubs for me and had the records of where they were. I think mine are 1/2 degree flat. This wedge had to be bent 3 degrees to get it where it needed to be. That means it was 2 1/2 degrees upright.

Boy does it put it on line now. Look out from 115, this thing is spot on.

Shot in a 4 man scramble today.

Hit the driving range before teeing off and was hitting everything straight as an arrow, even my drives. First tee, I play my drive down the left edge of the fairway in case I slice and I end up hitting it straight, but a little too far left.

We only played 9 holes and we ended up playing quite a few of my shots. On two holes in a row, we played both my drive and my approach.

All in all, I was pretty impressed with my play. Not sure how our team faired overall(4 under) because I had to leave as soon as we were through. I'm currently a "D" player and normally when your D player plays well, you have a good shot at winning. Our A player struggled, though, so I'm not sure where that put us.
