Guest ******
Hey all, I am looking for a new climbing stand for bow hunting and I am looking for info for anyone who uses the Lone Wolf stands. I am looking for a climbing stand that I can pack into some places I haunt. 6-9 miles one way. The Lone Wolf stands look good but no one in my town carries tree stands. What have you seen from these stands? Thanks for the help.
HUNTINGMAN
I bought a sit and climb last season and it is the best stand on the market as far as I am concerned. It is extremely light and packs up almost as thin as a pizza box, this is when the platform and the seet are together. The straps that go around the tree are quiet and easy to use,the platform has yet to sqeake in cold weather and I have hunted in some cold temps with ice on the trees. The built in bow holder comes in handy also,I dont think you can go wrong with there stands,I am planning on buying a lonewolf hang on stand with a set of there climbing sticks this year. There stands are expensive but will last and are well worth the money.I think I paid around 500$ for mine at sportsmans warehouse, but my next one will more than likely come from e-bay,have some good deals on there. ruttinbuc
The thing I like best about my Lone Wolf is how QUIET it is.
toddyboman
biggest problem I see is the price.....VERY expensive. Other than that I have never been around one. Good luck with your decision.

fly
Yup, lone wolf makes a great lightweight climber from what I hear. I couldn't afford the 300.00+ stand and went with the Summit openshot. It's light and an easy pack in. The seat is not comfortable after 3-4 hours, but this years model has a new fold up design. Possibly more comfortable? I love mine for those long walks to get to my evening hunting location.
HOYTnMUZZYboy
I absolutely love my sit and climb lonewolf. There a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. My dad used mine a few times this past season and he went out and bought one after a few hunts of sitting in mine. Great stands and are built very well! I have put mine through h#%% and it still works like new. One of the things i like most about it is after you use it a few times, and do some practice with it you can set it up in the dark almost silently. Great stand IMO! Good luck and let us know what you decide.
