How far can you hit your clubs.....

Be honest! We're not talking about on the range. On the tee box and on the course. When you step up to the ball with each club, how far do you expect the ball to travel.

On average:

Driver: 250 yds(slice takes some of my distance out)

3 wood: Off tee: 230 Off fairway: 210

4 iron: 200(only on rare occasions)

5 iron: 190(only on rare occasions)

6 iron: 180(from here on out it becomes more frequent:D)

7 iron: 170

8 iron: 155

9 iron: 140

Pitching wedge: 130

Sand wedge: 100

Putter: 180:D:D

I'm not sure to be honest. I know my drives are in the 250 range...I can hit my hybrids almost as far. I can knock the crap outta my nine and my PW and they go about the same distance. I shot over our 147 yard par three with my PW the other day so who knows lol.

Now I can throw my clubs about 30 yards....thats pretty much my best shot :D

That's the way I was last year. I could walk up to a 180 yard par 3 and knock it on the green with a 8 iron. But the majority of the time I shanked the ball and was hitting a pitching wedge on.:D

Driver: 250 is a solid drive for me. Don't hit 'em like that everytime that's for sure. If I get some roll I've hit them over 280 a few times.

I can't hit fairway woods well, so I don't. Need a few hybrids.

3-iron: 200-215

4-iron: 185-195

5-iron: 170-175

6-iron: 165-170

7-iron: 150-165

8-iron: 140-150

9-iron: 125-135

wedge: 125 and under

56-degree 60-80 yards...really inconsistent with it.

60-degree 50-60 yards

Driver: 285-300+ yds My driver is my favorite club in the bag!!! I can spank it!! ;)

3 wood: Off tee: 250-265 Off fairway: 235-250

Rescue Club 21 Deg. 220-225

4 iron: 205

5 iron: 195

6 iron: 180-185

7 iron: 170

8 iron: 155-160

9 iron: 145

Pitching wedge: 135

Sand wedge: 100-110

I'm getting an 18 deg. hybrid to fill in between a 3 hybrid and 3 wood.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say, without even reading half the posts in this thread, there is going to be less truth in this thread then/than any thread posted in this room in years.

DB's.:D

well, the course I play has 3 par 3s:

183 yard - I hit a 6

147 yard - I hit a 9 or PW

193 yard - I hit a 4 or 5

These Mizunos are much longer than any club I've had before ;)

I played Monday night, I was 148-149 out, I hit an 8 and it went over the green. Not sure what to do in that situation, because no way am I pulling a 9 out from that far...at least not confidently.

My old clubs I would have had to hit a 7 probably. Very true Craig, good clubs make a huge improvement to your distance.;)

since they're Janpanese clubs, you'd think that would be opposite.:)

LMAO....that's a whole different discussion.:)

I map my course on my GPS so I know the exact yardage. Not saying I can hit my irons that far everytime, but when I hit it solid I can usually get within +/- 5 yards of those numbers.

And if I wanted to, I beleive I could hit a PW 150. But that would take a perfect shot and those aren't too common when I'm swinging my hardest.

BTW--at the driving range I normally hit a couple of 300 yard drives everytime. But that's out of a two buckets of balls. Just wish I could figure out what I did wrong to hit it that far.:D:D

Not to worry guys, Johnboy hits all his drives 300+ because he tees off mountains all the time.

I have no cause to reply because I own one club (a driver) and have never golfed a hole in my life. I have spent a decent amount of time at the range and can hit that club a loooooooong freakin' way (when I can get them to not hook......or slice.........or whatever it's called when a leftie goes left). But that doesn't count for this discussion amongst duffers. :p So I'll intentionally omit yardage figgers.
