slugshooter
Apparently, Michelle Malkin and other conservative commentators pressured Dunkin Donuts to pull a new ad with Rachel Ray that they felt sympathized with terrorists. In the ad, Rachel is wearing a white scarf with black paisley that was picked out for her by someone who works in a wardrobe department. According to Malkin, the scarf too closely resembled the pattern of middle eastern male headress that Yasser Arafat and other known terrorists or terrorist sponsors wore. The fact that other middle eastern men who are not terrorists wear the same exact type of headgear was ignored. I say give me a break!! stevebeilgard
malkin is way off base on this one. i think rachel looks great. i also see no similarities in the headgear. and i'm glad the terrorist on the right is dead, and i hope his buddies join him real soon. all of them. leave rachel alone, michelle. JJL
I don't think it should even be an issue. Besides, Rachel Ray is a "very close and personal" friend of hangunnr. Being the staunch Conservative that he is, I'm sure he would have eliminated any "terrorist threat" posed by his honey.
hangunnr
While I generally agree with MM I believe she's just a bit off base here. Maybe her hat needs a little adjustment... C'mon MM don't be hatin on good ole RR... hangunnr
wtnhunt
Kind of sad that something like this ever even makes it as a story.

johnf
Don't really care for the scarf, but unless they can somehow link her with Muslims I don't think there's anything to it. Some times a cigar is just a cigar.

buckee
Dog gone media trying to make something out of nothing. No kidding. Dang lucky she didn't wear the scarf on her head. Stupid people !!!
nativetexan
I noticed the other day when I got my super mocha vodka valium latte (iced) from dunkin donuts that someone had taken the straw and traced "jihad" in the whipped cream before they put the lid on. It made me upset, but I drank it anyway. In other news, our newspeople are getting stupid about reporting the news. That's something that should rank right up there with "500 lb human baby born on spaceship to alien parents: Dad alien accuses mom alien of cheating with human, threatens to destroy mankind!" Place it on the rack next to the register....
buckee
I got better things to do than worry about the shirt I wear matching some yahoo terrorists head-dress. What kinda crap will they dig up next. As a matter of fact..I think I do have a shirt, more similar to that head-dress than her scarf is. I'd better watch where I where it...eh
