JimT
Looking to put in 3-4 apple tress in the corner of our field to attract some deer or whatever. Probably would not hunt there but would like to something to attract in the wildlife. What would the best ones be for the climate here in Maine and what do the deer seem to like the best? Thanks... Guest tdm69
Wildlife Management Solutions has an apple tree they come up with that deer love, and the apples have a very tough skin that keeps them from rotting as fast. Check them out. I would call Daniel the biologist there and he will tell you more about them. www.productsforwildlifemanagement.com or 877-400-8089

Born2Hunt
I like Crab apples. The deer and Turkeys hit them hard.
Adjam5
See if your local DNR has any trees that are native to your area that they distribute. The DEC in NY sells trees in wildlife packets that are very inexpensive. I bought 90 trees for $35. Elderberry, Red Osier Dogwood and Toringo Crabapple. These were recommended by our wildlife body here in NY for promoting wildilfe. http://www.dec.ny.gov/animals/9391.html Good Luck.
