toddpipkin
A bull elephant, in a periodic state of agitation and irritability, and exhibiting secretions from various glands, most noticably the temporal duct on the side of his head, is said to be in "musth". Though he probably does have a "musk"-y odor. Musth is not thought to be directly related to the rut, but there seems to be some relation.
