Guest Finn
Went to Timm's Hill the other day.....highest point in Wisconsin, but it's hard to tell as it's high ground all around, and no big peak or anything. This is about 10 minutes from the house

slugshooter
Is that the park that is behind the rest area on I-94. I remember when I was truck driving on my way to Eau Claire I stopped at a rest area that had a hiking trail and ended with a stop at the top. The scenery looks familiar but I couldn't remember the name.

muggs
Ohio is the same way, very flat except for the southeast part of the state. Looks a lot like the Buckeye state Craig. Nice area.

That's about the only part of Ohio I liked when I was truck driving. Heading into either PA or WV. Anywhere else it was flat and all you could see were corn fields. camoman1
were do you fish up here? Used to fish around Park Falls with my dad a few times a year up until about a few years ago. Butternut Lake and the Pixley Flowage and a few lakes in Ashland county. Have only been able to afford one fishing trip a year way up there recently and ive spent those in Vilas county. Was planning on going back around Park Falls this year...not sure if im going to make it though.

aksheephuntress
...Wow!...-and so green... -Yeah, the same happened to me, similiar to SteveB...I loved the hills and hollers and beauty of Southern Indiana...- until I came to the mountains of Alaska... (...well...almost got stuck , admiring the Black Hills, first...)
JJL
I think jjl just chuckled. Pretty land. Nope...........I've always enjoyed the time i have spent in Wisconsin and it is very scenic. However 45 yrs of humidity and bad winters were enough. Wisconsin is a great state, it'd be even better without all of the Packer Fans. camoman1
I live on Hwy 13, 40 miles south of Park Falls. Friend of the family has a cabin down Peeksville road on off of hwy 13 between Park Falls and Glidden. Thats normally where we stay...hope to get there again one of these days. May have to take a stroll to the top of that hill !!
Ravin R10 man
Nice pics. Did it smell like cheese up there too? Only if you pack some cheese with you Craig....otherwise, if you are downwind of that dairy farm......ahhh..you can figure that out..
