Guest rev214
been a bit since i checked in...i posted the following in my blog today...hope the verses will strengthen you... HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU, HE WILL NEVER FORSAKE YOU I like how God says it over and over again, to get it through my thick skull. Be strong. Have courage. For the Lord will never leave me or forsake me. He promises this to all who believe in him. Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. ” Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and of good courage, for you must go with this people to the land which the LORD has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall cause them to inherit it. And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed. ” Deuteronomy 31:6-8 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you . I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. ” Joshua 1:5-9 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:
Ravin R10 man
Rev....That is so true..The people of Isreal saw first hand what God did for them, yet they refused to follow and beleive He would deliver them to the promise land. Even when they could see it with their own eyes, Joshua sent spies to check it out..they brought back what the land had to bear..just what God had told them was there. Yet the spies, (most of them) said we are but grasshoppers in their sight!..John Hagee Jr. just had a sermon on this.. Do you know how exaggerated that statement was?? Well lets give the average of 5 ft height..and compare it to a grasshopper...those "Giants" would have been 300 feet tall! Isnt it like us humans to make our problems greater than what they really are.? No wonder God cant possibly have the answer! I'll leave you with this verse from memory: Phil. 4-13 I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me.
survivorman
Rom. 8:8-28 For we know all things work together for good to them that love God,to them who are calld acording to his purpose. I was just reading about Ken Wilson and wanted to tell you my prayers go out to you all healthy and ill. We all go through triles some greater than others but it is all part of the Fathers plan. We can't comprehend His plan sometimes, but he will not turn his back on his children. By the way I am new here. To God be the glory. jaret
A Christian Hunter's Devotions and Studies I think it's been a while since anyone has been on this thread, let alone for me. It's been super busy for me. I used to be a regular on here. I got married in 07 (I think I even posted on here a few hrs prior to the wedding lol) and then sadly 3 years later got a divorce. I was a Christian but during that difficult time, God really started working in my life. My life is definitely not perfect, but if not for the grace of God, I dunno where I'd be. I guess my scripture for anyone going thru a rough time is Psalm 71:20 "Though You have made me see troubles, many and bitter, You will restore my life again. From the depths of the earth You will again bring me up." Hope this helps someone.
Ravin R10 man
“Though He slay me, I will trust Him,” Said the sainted Job of old; “Though He try me in the furnace, I shall then come forth as gold. “Though the ‘worms of deep affliction’ Cause this body to decay, In my flesh I shall behold Him — My Redeemer—some glad day.” “Though He slay me”—can I say it When I feel the searing fire, When my fondest dreams lie shattered — Gone my hope and fond desire? “Though He slay me, I will trust Him,” For He knows just how to mold, How to melt and shape my spirit — I shall then come forth as gold! Ravin R10 man
Jeremiah 5:24 'They do not say in their heart, "Let us now fear the LORD our God, Who gives rain in its season, Both the autumn rain and the spring rain, Who keeps for us The appointed weeks of the harvest." And since another season of harvest is upon us; Acts 10:13 And there came a voice to him: Rise, Peter; kill and eat. Scott B. Lemasters
Greetings! I'm reaching out today to share a newly released Christian book and 30-day devotional entitled, Hunt of a Lifetime: an Outdoorsman’s Journey to Prayer. With a forward from Steve Chapman, author of A Look at Life from a Deer Stand (more than 300,000 copies sold), Hunt of a Lifetime is a book for outdoorsmen that will encourage and challenge them to surrender control of their lives to Jesus Christ and commit time to talk with Him each day through prayer. Weaving hunting and fishing stories together, the book whets a reader’s appetite to go on the ultimate hunt—connecting with their Creator. After all, true outdoorsmen are inspired by nature and, whether we recognize it or not, God is calling out to us through the mountains and forests and streams and creatures that He made for us. Packed with hunting and fishing stories from Alaska to Zimbabwe and outdoor adventures from the Antarctic to the jungles of Brazil, the first part of the book inspires and equips the reader to surrender his life to Jesus, while the second part is a 30-day devotional that helps the reader to learn to connect with God through prayer. If you are interested for yourself or a loved one, you can pick up a copy here: https://www.prayershop.org/Hunt-of-a-lifetime-p/dev-les-bk-001.htm. It is my hope that the book will help me to kick-off Trailblazer Ministries—a ministry dedicated to outdoorsmen and their relationship with our Eternal Trailblazer, Jesus Christ. I am excited to begin this effort, as I retire later this year after 34-years of service to our country. I have a passion for sharing hunt stories and the Gospel. To contact me about speaking at your church retreat, game dinner, banquet, or other ministry opportunities, you can reach me at [email protected] or fill out a contact form. God bless.
