You got that right. It would not have taken much for the cow to stomp that guy. Saw a lot of footage of just how nasty a moose can get. Was thinking this guy might have been too afraid to move. stevebeilgard
maybe you're right with the too scared to move. and then, at the end, the cow sorta jumbed back and left. must have found a scent that the scentblocker couldn't hold back.... lol

Bob LeBlanc
Cow moose with a calf !...NOT a good place to be ! She was pretty quiet, though...if you look at her as she starts to go away you'll notice her mane had bristled... Anyone ever seen the video of the man in Fairbanks, I think it was, that was stomped to death by the cow moose outside of the bank? They is not a critter to mess with. Bob This may be the video...I can't open it here at work to be sure... www.metacafe.com/watch/1416/moose/
Shaun_300
Wow, got my heart racing just watching it! That's not a good place to be, a cow moose with her calf is like being by a bear and her cub, not good news! That would have been quite the experience though! dfol20
thats amazing! I would have worried about the fact that she had a young one with her. It would have been hard to keep calm.
texastrophies
Yes, Bob, that is the video you are referring to. That moose was relentless in attacking the guy. Kind of suprised that nobody attempted to scare it away.

fly
I'll bet they never realized how much danger a cow moose can be. I wonder if they would have remained that cool if it had been a bear and cub? The cow must of not sensed them to be a threat. Last year a cow with a broken leg and a calf were hanging out close to people in the Rocky Mountain National Forest. People were getting pictures from 20-30 yards away. My thoughts were that the cow was used to people and did not sense danger. It was hanging around people to avoid mountain lions.
