bruse
I am looking to have a rifle camoed. I want a finish that will last a while. I am considering a duracoat finish. Any thoughts. Shipping the firearm is my only concern. I plan to have the rifle scope and mounts all done. Any ideas on who is the best. Thanks, bruse
doubleA
Bruse, Duracoat has a pretty good reputation for holding up on firearms. It's a simple elastic coating that is applied with an HPLV gun or air brush. It does not requrie any baking but does have a 2-3 week full cure time. I have been doing some of mine myself. It's not hard but does require some time to mask areas and also making sure are parts a free from any oils. For the best results, items to be coated needto be blasted with a fine media. I chose to do this Mc Millan stock only instead of the whole rifle. It's a simple digital camo and looks much better than the flat black it once was. bruse
Thanks, your rifles look great as well. I was hoping for some feedback from hunters who have have their entire gun and scopes camoed. V/R bruse
