Shaun_300
Well I gave my Silverado a little upgrade in the exhaust department. I put on a Magnaflow Cat-back system. 3" into the muffler, 2 1/2" out, with 3 1/2" polished tips. Sounds great, looks great, fuel mileage is definetly better! The_Kat
looks great! Nothing sets a truck off more in my opinion than a good dual exhaust system!

pendog
Great pipes, my hunting rig is a GMC 2000 with the 4.8 v8. How much better gas mileage do you get? just wondered because i am looking for anything to save a little gas.
Shaun_300
Thanks guys! ruttinbuc - Everything was $649+tax at my cost, list is $940. Pretty good price considering everything is stainless steel. Tominator - Bring it on up! I'll do it anytime. pendog - I have the 4.3L V6 with a 5-speed manual transmission. I haven't had it long enough to figure it out perfectly, but I have 500km (300mi) on my tank and it's right on the half a tank mark, that was running down to the Realtree get together at 75mph because I was running a little late and didn't want to miss the ferry. On the way home I took the freeway so I was doing 80mph most of the time on the way home. Before it'd get around 420km by the time it hit the half a tank mark. So that's a noticeable increase with more aggressive driving behaviours. My next tank should be my normal driving habits, so I'll let you know when I get another tank through it. You can definetly tell that you don't need to hold the gas pedal down as much to maintain a certain speed. Before I'd get around 19-20mpg average, now I'm hoping for 22 or 23mpg. Another thing to do to your truck that's really cheap that will help a bit, and even more if you do the exhaust is a K&N air filter, I highly reccommend them! They flow so much better than the stock ones!

Chrud
Nice! I bought an '04 Silverado a couple weeks ago and will probably put dual exhaust on it.
Nick
Sweet...Nothing sounds better than a V8 with a good exhaust. I'll be getting a MBRP 5" turbo-back exhaust for my diesel here pretty soon...Just havnt decided to spend the extra money for duals or not yet. Bowtech_archer07
Looks great!! Hoping to get some exhaust put on my truck. I have a 4.6L V8 automatic transmission and I was planning on leaving the cats, running it thru a couple of glasspacks and then into a 3 1/2" chrome tip. 2 1/4" pipe all the way through. Will post pics when I get it done.
